FRENCH BEANS CURRY
INGREDIENTS for renal diabetic diet recipes
1 cup French beans, chopped or shredded
1 tsp tur dal
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
1 tsp coriander leaves paste
For Seasoning
1 tsp oil
½ tsp urad dal
¼ tsp mustard seeds
METHOD
1.Mix the vegetable, dal and salt and pressure cook.
2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
3. Add the masala paste and fry.
4. Add the cooked vegetable and the coriander paste, mix the contents
thoroughly and cook for few more minutes.
SAVOURY KHICHDI
INGREDIENTS
½ cup rice
¼ cup moong dal
¼ cup tur dal
¼ tsp pepper powder
¼ tsp cumin powder
¼ tsp coriander powder
¼ tsp garam masala powder, cloves, black cardamoms and cinnamon
3 cashewnuts, chopped
¼ tsp salt
For Seasoning
1 tsp ghee
1 tsp mixture of mustard, ajwain, saunf and kalonji
1 tsp curry leaves
1 bay leaf, torn into pieces.
METHOD of cooking this renal diabetic diet recipes
1. Roast the rice and the dals slightly.
2. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
3. Add chopped cashewnuts and fry.
4. Now stir in the rice and the dals along with 2 cups of water and the
remaining ingredients. Cook till the contents are tender and dry.
5. Serve hot with chutney or curd.
