How to Prepare / Make / Cook - ?PRAWN SAMBHAR
PRAWN SAMBHAR Recipe
INGREDIENTS
100 gm prawns, shelled and deveined
1 cup tamarind juice
½ cup tur dal
1 tsp sambhar powder
1 tsp coriander leaves
½ tsp mint paste
¼ tsp salt
For Seasoning
1 tsp oil
½ tsp cumin and mustard seeds
1 red chilli, broken into pieces
METHOD
1. Boil prawns with half the quantity of salt till tender and dry. Cut
each prawn into two pieces.
2. Heat oil in a 2 litre cooked and fry the seasoning ingredients.
3. Stir in the prawn and fry.
4. Add the dal, tamarind, juice, sambhar powder, coriander leaves, mint
paste along with a little quantity of water and the remaining salt and
pressure cook.
5. Serve hot prawn sambhar with rice or chapatti.
