How to Prepare / Make / Cook - ?FISH SAMBHAR
FISH SAMBHAR Recipe
INGREDIENTS
100 gm fish pieces
½ cup tur dal
1 cup tamarind juice
1 tsp sambhar powder
1 tsp coriander leaves paste
¼ tsp salt
2 onions, ground
1 tomato, ground
A pinch of turmeric powder
For Seasoning
2 tsp oil
1 tsp curry leaves
¼ fenugreek seeds
¼ tsp mustard seeds
METHOD
1. Mix the fish pieces, salt, onion, paste, tomato paste and turmeric
powder till well combined. Leave it aside to marinate for few hours.
2. Heat oil in a 2 litre cooker and fry the seasoning ingredients.
3. Add the marinated fish and fry.
4. Finally stir in the dal, tamarind juice, sambhar powder, coriander
leaves paste and pressure cook.
5. Serve hot sambhar with rice or chapatti.
