How to Prepare / Make / Cook - ?BITTER GOURD CURRY
BITTER GOURD CURRY Recipe
INGREDIENTS
2 medium sized bittergourd
1 tsp coriander-n-cumin powder
¼ tsp salt
A pinch of turmeric powder
2 tsp tamarind pulp
For Seasoning
1 tsp oil
¼ tsp mustard seeds
1 red chilli, broken into pieces.
METHOD
1. Wash, peel and slice the bitter gourds.
2. Mix the bitter gourd slices, salt, turmeric powder and the tamarind
pulp till well combined. Cook in little quantity of water till the bittergourd
slices are just tender. Drain if necessary.
3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
4. Stir in the bittergourd slices, and the coriander-cumin powder. Mix
the contents thoroughly and cook for few more minutes.
5. Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
