How to Prepare / Make / Cook - ?PRAWN PULLAO
PRAWN PULLAO Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 cup basmati rice
100 gm prawns, shelled and deveined
2 onions, sliced
2 red chillis
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp poppy seeds
3 flakes garlic
2 tsp tamarind pulp
½ tsp garam masala powder
¼ tsp salt
2 tsp oil
METHOD
1. Boil prawns with half the quantity of salt till tender and dry. Chop
into pieces.
2. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and fry the onions. Drain.
3. Roast and powder the red chillis, sesame and poppy seeds
4. Grind the onions, garlic and tamarind to a fine paste.
5. Wash and soak the rice for an hour. Cook till tender with the remaining
quantity of salt.
6. Heat the remaining quantity of oil in a pan and fry the prawns.
7. Add the roasted powder, ground paste, garam masala powder and the cooked
rice. Mix the contents thoroughly and cook for a few more minutes.
8. Garnish the prawn pullao with the fried onion slices and serve hot.
