How to Prepare / Make / Cook - ?SEMOLINA UPMA



SEMOLINA UPMA

INGREDIENTS

1 cup semonlina
2 tsp peas
2 tsp beans, shredded
2 tsp carrot, grated
2 tsp capsicum, chopped
¼ tsp salt

For Seasoning

1 tsp oil
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp urad dal
2 green chillies, minced
1 tsp curry leaves

For Garnishing

2 tsp coriander leaves, chopped

METHOD

1. Roast the semolina till the raw smell disappears.
2. Now heat the oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
3. Stir in 2 ½ cups of water along with the salt.
4. Add the vegetables and let it boil for 5 minutes.
5. Finally, stir in the semolina and cook, constantly stirring on a high flame for a few minutes. Lower the flame, cover the pan with the lid and cook for few more minutes.
6. Serve hot, garnished with coriander leaves, cured or chutney.
